Picture series BJ8 distributor and carburettors

Just uploadet some pictures from having my distributor professionally rebuilt and some work on restoring the carburettors.
Distributor vacuum advance was stuck, and I couldn't dissassemble it, so had to have it done by a pro. Perhaps because the vacuum system on the carburettor had been full of dirt for years.

Feel free to comment if I have done something wrong, I have to admit in not that skilled, but keen to learn form others and my own mistakes. Have fixed the non centered needle, so dont comment on that please.

In one of the pictures it looks like you are cutting your linkage with a hack saw. Why are you doing that?

The lenght of the new ones were much longer that the original. They are probably made to fit several carburettor, models. If you dont cut them theres no room for the throttle linkage between the carbs.
