TR2/3/3A Picture of painted substructure, finally!

I just finished painting the substructure. I am trying to catch up with Pat G. The painting came out pretty well, I have one area to fix some drips. The color is tangerine, even though the picture shows it as more yellow. It is BRIGHT. Back to putting parts on the frame now.

Jerry the color is certainly an attention getter, what color interior are going with? Looks good from here.

"Attention Getter" That is what I want. When I drive down the road, I want people to see the car that does not have any safety items. Then, they just try to see what kind of car it is , but they don't run into you.

Interior is a dark tan or brown. I actually wanted something lighter, but the choices I had to pick from were limited. 2 tall in Ohio is making the interior.

I consider my black 1958 Tr3A with red interior a show stopper. But not at the right place or the right time. It makes me boil ! Here I am doing about 75 or more along a freeway in the right lane when I notice in my rear-view mirror, some very fast car approaching me in the left lane. I know it's not a police car because it's a Volvo or Audi or Mercedes sedan. When he gets up near me, he slows down to my speed and then he sits there for the longest time trying to get a slower view of my TR3A. All this time I'm still doing 75 MPH in the right lane and I'm fast approaching the rear end of a tractor trailer doing 60 MPH. I HAVE TO JAM ON MY BRAKES AS HARD AS I CAN BECAUSE THIS IDIOT IS STILL SIITING RIGHT ON MY LEFT CORNER - SO I CAN'T PULL OUT TO PASS THE TRACTOR TRAILER BECAUSE HE'S RUBBER-NECKING ALMOST DIRECTLY BESIDE ME. Not you understand why this makes me boil !
 
OH NO, someone else that's going to finish their TR3 before me!

It looks great. I know your excitement, because I am close to that point.

Don, sorry about the negative attention, but you have to remember that something that catches attention will catch both positive and negative attention.
 
I have a spot on the rear trunk that I will hope to repair. It looks like there is a lump that did not show till clear coat shined it up. Pat, I may ask for a consult.
