My steering assembly has some PO modifications, I'm trying to make sure I reassemble correctly. Specifically, pictures of the how the u-joint and washers should look would be great. Thanks!

Tom -

If THIS won't serve, I can take a picture of mine later today. Not sure it will reveal a lot, though, as it's pretty cramped down there.

Thanks Mickey - appreciate the link. Helpful.

I check the factory manual and unfortunately neither that, nor the online schematics seem to have the detail I'm looking for.

Should the large circular washer (non wavy) be flush against the bushing on the firewall?

I'll check when I get home in a couple hours.

Tom- On mine it has fat washer next to body and wavy washer between fat washer and the upper steering knuckle

Just looked at mine, and though it's hard to see "in situ", I believe mine's the same.

Here ya go
Don't pay any attention to the man behind the curtain kind of thing. I had to stretch my steering with the TR7 rack, the additional subframe drop, and the 1/2: motor move.

Also, Tom,here's the other pic

Thanks guys. So is the large round washer supposed to held snug against the bushing that passes through the firewall?

Hopefully Todd will post up on this Tom. He would know
