Piano Dilemma

As usual, JP doesn't miss a beat. :thumbsup: I was saving the hammers out the one I burned but I didn't have time to do anything with them so I burnt them too, As usual. I only took a half step in completing the project.


I really like the lamp, it really takes a sharp mind to piece it all together. The bass is my favorite part, I hope you didn't have too much treble with it.

I betcha you got it for a song.

I'd say it only took about 45 minutes to build (adding the hammers with 5 minute epoxy). The base (a wooden disk) took longer to finish. I added a long, threaded brass lamp tube up the middle to mount the socket on. One nice touch is at the top (though not in the photo); I found a finial that is in the shape of a treble clef (in brass)... which sort of finished off the project.

Since then, I've collected several boxes of piano parts for a future project.
