Well, I have the 307689 camshaft installed, with the correct springs, etc.. Also, used the shortened tubular pushrods. A word of caution about the tubular push rods, I had to file the head a little to keep 4 of the push rods from hitting, as they are a little larger in diameter. Anyhow, this thing runs great. I still have a ways to go to get it to idle like I want it to, but, it doesn't lope to bad. I used the AE lifters this time. So far, so good after about 150 miles. But, it does run strong, seems to want to keep reving. I don't want to do this again..........But, it does run good, now, maybe FI, as someone in the UK says in a couple months they will have it ready, and affordable, we will see. Be careful who you do business with in the UK, as "I will ship it today" has many meanings over there, it seems. I can't keep my foot out of this thing now. Most likely I will blow it up now.
 
I only wanted a regrind, and, it had to be originally a 307689, which is cast into it, along with stanpart. You see, that is where the trouble starts, changing the profile on a regrind, you grind thru the hardened part. Anyhow, you just start calling suppliers until you find one, and they are very hard to find. You will not find it in the USA. Also, you must use the original springs/collars, or suffer the results. The CP springs are unique to say the least, and the collars are hard to find. As a warning, most of the suppliers will try to get you to buy what they have, and tell you, "no one else has complained", don't take the bail like I did.
