Took the red thing out for a "shakedown" cruise today with my son, Andrew. The idea was to head down the Oregon side of the Columbia to Astoria, pick up some stuff at Costco and run back home. It's about 100 miles round trip. All was fine, and I do mean FINE going down but but half way back home, Pffft. The car died. Dead as a hammer it was. The tach dropped to Zero when it died so I suspected a loose wire at the coil or a dead coil, since I have a Crane installed and I have never heard of one of them going bad. We pulled off the road threw open the hood and hooked up the ground wire that came off the spade terminal, hit the key and continued on our merry way. .. It's ready to head out to Elkhart Lake next June.

Emotional road trip:

Life is good.

Why me???????

Man I feel better now, lets get this baby home before it gets dark

Needle nose pliers are great for "slightly" squeezing female spade terminals, so they fit on the male better...
