TR2/3/3A Petrol Tank Parts NEEDED TR3

I have installed my petrol tank but I have been hunting for the banjo bolt, needed for the vent tube and it is not to be found. Then I took a serious look at the vent tube and it has corrosion inside and outside. So I need both items. Stanparts #206523 for the vent pipe and #102213 for the banjo bolt.

I will pay shipping and whatever cost you put on it. They are unobtanium at Moss and TRF. I have had no results from the two supporting vendors on BCF I tried.

Any ideas or actual parts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Tinkerman

My suggestion is to just cap it off, using an ordinary bolt & sealing washer. I stopped up the end of my vent tube many years ago, after I discovered that it was allowing raw fuel to spill on the pavement during hard left turns with a nearly full tank of gas. My fill cap already had a small vent hole in it; but if yours does not, you can add one by drilling a small hole through the plate that actually closed off the hole (not the chromed part).

PS, I think I remember that bolt had common threads, but if not you could even whittle a wine cork and turn that into the hole.
