MGB Pessimistic Gas gague

You may have to run through a tank of gas before you can properly diagnose it by removing the sender. Tough duty! šŸ˜‰
 
Another possibility is that the float has gas in it. Easy fix to replace the float. Getting the sender out is another story.

Great info... The sender is easy enough to get to but I guess I'll "stick" the tank to see if the gas is below the hole for the unit.
 
Filler neck has quite an angle change, be aware.
