MGB Pessimistic Gas gague

Need help in diagnosing this issue. Gague doesn't want to pass the 1/2 mark. Thoughts?

Sending units love to freeze themselves to the housing….this new gas formula doesn’t help matters.

You may have to run through a tank of gas before you can properly diagnose it by removing the sender. Tough duty!

Good luck with that. Might as well use the gas axe to remove……

Another possibility is that the float has gas in it. Easy fix to replace the float. Getting the sender out is another story.

Great info... The sender is easy enough to get to but I guess I'll "stick" the tank to see if the gas is below the hole for the unit.

Filler neck has quite an angle change, be aware.

Would read empty if the float was filled.
