Personal Log Book

Hello all,

I have been kicking an idea around for awhile now and was looking for some insight.
Is there any interest in having a personal log book for your car? My wife is a bookbinder and can make a book with your name, car's make and model and VIN, embossed on the cover. It can be bound in cloth or leather, in your choice of colors. Thats the easy part.
What I'd like to know is what you (the LBC lover) would like to see in the book. Examples: log of maintenance, specs on original car, reprint of model specific ads, pages for photos, Log for modifications. How large, Glove box size or larger? Lastly, what would you pay for a book like this?
I'm not sure if this post breaks any of Basil's rules, as it is a bit on the commericial side. At this time I'm only putting together ideas, but I am trying to figure out if its doable, and if there is a need out there. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated!

Cheers,

Rob

PS. The reason I posted in the Triumph section is because I only have a good supply of Triumph ads at present.

Date and type of mishap/breakdown would suffice... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cryin.gif

Something like that would be cool. If it logged all the work you have done on the car any modifications, and included like before and after pictures. However I think for many of us the price would wind up being prohibitive. All my money goes into my car or into watches, or into my girlfriend. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cryin.gif

My idea would be that there will be sections that you can fill out, for instance for modifications: date; type of modification; specs of mod (cam timing for instance) and cost.
It would also have bound in photo pages for you to put in your own photos.
Pricing for the book could be done for under $100.00 I would think. My thoughts are that it would be a companion for the car, one for reference as well as bragging rights, so to speak.

Cheers,

Rob

I think it's a great idea.
A better Christmas present is hard to find for LBC afflicted spouses or friends.
Should do well at car shows and such.
Put me up for one in tan leather, $100 plus shipping and it's a deal.
Got to get this business started. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

I think that it would make a great gift idea. Now I just have to get my girlfriend to spend some of my money on one for Christmas or my birthday.
