Perranporth

Its a very nice place to visit. I was there in 1999 for the eclipse and it was one of the very few places that was able to see the totality. The weather was badly overcast right up to the time when it was to start, then the clouds miraculously parted and we could see it all.

I was quite an amazing sight waiting on the cliff tops above the beach, watching the shadow of the moon come racing in accross the sea until the land was darkened and the Sun stopped shining.

Well worth the trip...

and I didn't know of the healey connection then....

Perranporth Eclipsed a commentary on it from my website... if anyone's interested....

Agree,
We stayed at a fabulous small hotel just up the coast in 2001. Wonderful scenery. Uhfortunately it was the week of 9/11.

Yep Lin, sure is pretty, but there are no scantily clad beauties insight today and Donald would be a bit disappointed I would say.----Keoke- /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
