TR4/4A Performance engine rebuild

I haven't rebuilt a Triumph engine since the mid 70s and want to add a little performance to this one when I do. Who would be considered an engine 'guru' on this forum and what books would y'all recommend? I rebuilt an MGB engine this fall and will be building another next month along with a modified 1275 for my Bugeye and have a go to guy on that forum. Any particular dos or donts when rebuilding a TR4 engine?
Thanks, Rut

Get Kas Kastner's books and follow them to do a street engine. D cam or similar maybe not as much duration, mill the head .090, lighten flywheel, change needles, advance not to exceed about 30 degrees at full advance, larger pistons and liners, 87 is safe, some do 89 but do your homework on head gaskets. That should give you a nice street engine.

Thanks guys, I was hoping we had a pro engine builder on the forum to offer tips on not just what to do, but how to go about it.
Thanks, Rut
