Pennsylvania fire

Just heard about this. A historic glass factory forge in Grove City Pennsylvania just burned down.

This is the Wendell August company forge, which made the souvenir ashtrays used on the 1936 Hindenburg "Millionaires Flight". Note that the glass airship was filled with diesel fuel. Interesting using diesel fuel in an ashtray; an unfortunate foreshadowing ...?

A sad loss for Pennsylvania history.

Indeed a tragic story. Kinda interesting though, how a post was formed on the Hindenburg and the article you show from the Pa glass factory is a representation of the same airship. Hmmm
