FOR SALE
1959 Peerless GT # 213
This is a rare sports touring coupe that uses Triumph TR3 running gear and
suspension on a full tube chassis and a very well built fiberglass body. The
rear end takes design cues from the Aston-Martin DB4 and the front from a
Ferrari 250. It features a DeDion independent rear end, dual gas tanks and
unique coupe styling with rear seating. The total production was a round 275
cars. This was a true production automobile and was never a kit or an
assembled car. It is eligible for all Vintage Triumph Register events.
These cars were built to race and they did very well. In 1958 the Peerless
GT won its’ class at LeMans and came in 14th overall. A very good showing
for a low production private entry car.
This particular car has been sitting for a number of years and needs full
restoration. It is complete and I have a lot of documentation and factory
literature including owners manual, dealer brochures and other interesting
items. It still has its numbers matching TR3 engine and transmission. It has
wire wheels. All parts are available.
All in all it would be a great project for a Triumph or race enthusiast.
$6,000. Might trade.
We would be willing to restore this car in our award winning shop for a new
owner.
