Passenger side water leak

Hi All,

Yeah, I know. B's are supposed to leak...Or so I'm told.

That said, in tracking down the source(s) of a leak on my passenger side, I checked the drain hose from the fresh air/heater panel. The PO didn't bother to connect it properly.

I'm now faced with the task of connecting this without taking apart half the car. Anyone ever done this? Any tips, hints, expressions of sympathy???? The Bently and Haynes manuals have no mention of this topic.

If you are talking about the hose that exits next to the tranny, I don't see how that can be your problem unless it is plugged up. Leaving it off will not hurt anything. If it is plugged the water will back up into the footwells for sure.
 
Oh, by the way, If you have to replace the drain hose, there is a plastic plug under the carpet just to the rear of the air vent on the tranny tunnel, that allows you to access the hose clamp that holds the drain line in place. You may have to pull the carpet back a bit to find it, though.
