Parts supplier

I'm sure you old timers are familiar with all of the suppliers of parts for AH but for those who may not know that life exists beyond Moss, I found quite by accident a company in England called AH Spares Limited https://secure.ahspares.co.uk/ah-index.htm that has the parts Moss and others do not seem to carry. Very professional and they have a secure web site. I ordered a fresh air intake cable that I could not find other places and m very happy with the product. Just in case anyone is looking for hard to find parts.

AH SPares is about as close to the bone as you'll ever get. Fred Draper (who started AH Spares in -I think- 1970) used to work for DMH at Warwick.

Back when the dollar was (very) strong against the pound, I placed substantial orders with both AHS and Southern Caburettors (as they were then called). A lot more value for the dollar than I was then getting with US vendors. Depending on the order's (physical) size, I would get it in as little as eight days.

Downside was getting up at 3 or 4 am to place the call

Rick,

I have used them quite a bit for my BJ7 project and also found their service to be excellent. Above that their quality seems to be superior to the domestic suppliers. An example, the engraving on their knockon spinners is exactly as the originals. Even with the weak dollar I intend to place a rather large order from them to complete the project in the next month or so. Even with the weak dollar their prices are reasonable, just watch out on buying anything heavy or large.
