looking for ideas - is this repairable?

or do you have an extra?

or are there really cool retro ones that fit on the plinth?

thanks all

I repaired that same problem on my mirrors... but I don't recommend that path. Invest in bullet mirrors. The look cool, and they won't get knocked out of wack every time you cover your car or walk too close to the mirror, or accidentally took the mirror. Grrrrrrrr!

Bullets are nice... or maybe some "boomerang" fender mounts ?

Saw your radio in your pictures, is that newer? I have the original Motorola AM. Would be nice to find a modern radio with XM, Am ,FM that would fit in the original metal cabinet. Anyone have any sources.

Hey Mark, check out Custom Autosound. They make stereos for vintage cars. My buddy got one for his T-bird. They might have something that fits.

As far as I know it is the original radio - AM/FM was part of the Midget "special" for 1976 cars. also, I presume the BMCD label is "British Motor Corp ?" I have a plan to add a ipod plug but it won't be at all visible. Actually, first I want to figure out if you can use an iPod FM transmitter with an analog receiver - I can't nsee why not as it broadcats on a frequency

are these available from the usual suspects? - is the bottom means of attaching standard or unique to Spridgets?

They look like standard "TEX" mirrors that are on late model minis (not MINI's). Easy to come by. Minia mania has them. The mini uses an additional spacer under the base to get the angle proper. On a midget you just don't use the spacer.

I do like the bullets - but want to make sure they fit right. If you look at the intact mirror in my first photo - there is a "base" to the mirror - the part that actually bolts to the car - then the mirror screws on to the base with a set screw. Will the bullets fit on this base? and if not do I put the bullets right on the door? and if this is the case how does the size of the Bullet Mirror base relate to the raised mirror area on the door and the pre-existing holes?

thanks again - I'm going to need y'all big time over the next weeks
