Parts Car Question

I have the opportunity to get a 1977 Midget parts car. (The current owner still thinks it's roadworthy but I know better /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif ) Seriously, the body is way too shot. Anyway, what if anything is different in a '77 than my '76? Any thoughts? I have no plans to replace my pollution stuff so that doesn't matter but I will need rear bumper/ tail lights/ rear license plate frame and lights/ tires/ top (possibly) etc. etc.

thanks for your help
JP

hows it going JP? the 77 is this same car. Just think about all the spares you get, engine , tranny , seats, lights , alt, starter, radiator.........

I know, here's the dilemna, the interior was customized (not too badly actually) but it's worn out. The top is questionable and what is worn out on mine is worn out on his. His engine turns over (he tells me it will start but we couldn't get it to) whereas mine hasn't run in 12 years BUT mine is original. What intrigues me is that there are no splits on the dash! But is that worth $500?

thanks for the input.
JP

A good dash is worth at lease $250.00 The fun thing about the car is what you find as you take it apart. Lots of unobtainable items can be found and saved for future replacement or trade value. Go for it.
