Parade Buggy

Last year we built a proof of concept car for the SAE Super mileage contest. We got it running pretty well but we've decided not to pursue the SAE contest right now....we don't really have the time or resources. But we still have the little vehicle we fashioned as a "try-out"....with motor, wheels and other useful bits.
We've decided to re-design it with a new chassis and make a "parade buggy" for local parades (I have dibs on it for the next St Patrick's Day).
We styled it roughly after a 1902 Curved-Dash Olds (it's about 2/3 scale). Engine is a single cylinder 5.5 OHV with a riding lawnmower-trans/diff and 20" wire wheels. This week we'll work on the wood bodywork. I'll post more snaps as we get them. We've been working on it for about 3 weeks and this is what we have so far. I have a couple of engineering students working with me....we should have it done in a few weeks. Hey, it has right-hand drive, wire wheels and technically, it's a roadster! Should be fun!
I'm still working on my Austin "new-Ulster" replica too, but I won't do any real work on that until after we get past the races in Pittsburgh and Ontario.
