Panel/wing removal

Hello,

At this moment I'am in the process of removing the front and rear wings and shrouds of a BN 7 this car was stored for over 30 years

I noticed so far, that the three nuts and bolts beneath the
headlight are easy to remove. I noticed 5 nuts and bolts at the top of the wing of which the two closest to the headlamp have the easiest access (allthough you have the idea the bolt can break with each turn)

I hope that someone who has removed these wings and shrouds already in the past can provide some tips and trics how to remove as I noticed the nuts and bolts closest to for example the window have difficult access with just a wrench.

Look forward to the input

Kind regards

Harry

Hi

I did it last summer in my BT7.

You need to dismount the doors first

There is some bolts in the headligth (easy) I think 3.
There another 3 under the wind shield, you can reach them from the inside of the car. (easy)
The most difficult are the ones you need to access from the engine. There is another 3
On the rigth hand I recomend you to dismount the fan of the 4 bolts in the wheel, this will give you more access from the inside, but you need a long wrench or an small hand.
If you are thinking to change the ventilation pipes, kick them out and you will have the bigger access.
Hope it helps
