Good for you, you just turned the corner!

If you have the patience, let it sit a week, or a month (!) to let the paint continue to harden up before working too much near the surfaces. Are they hanging/aligning the panels for you__big plus if they do?

Thanks guys . It waited a week or so before being polished. I've built many cars and always kind of tried too hard. This time I eliminted all the rust without resorting to all new panels. Mike at Mistyle undersrood my need for a good but not concours finish . We elected to go with a base and lacquer it's very shiny...bit by choice. All the fittings are nicely patinated, I think I going to get Harry driving then finish him over the winter.
