Thanks to the many replies from my recent inquiry about the color of my new B body I determined that it was Brooklands Green. As far as I can tell the car has never been repainted. When I have the car painted will it be necessary to strip to bare metal or can I simply paint new Brooklands Green paint over the original paint and achieve good results.
 
I don't remove a good paint job; but, I do seal that old paint so it can't bother the new.....most paints are compatible but do you want to take the chance?

Deep rock pecks and chips are to be sanded down to bare metal.</span>
