For those who like to paint

There is a company called Trinity1945.They sell whole kits only.No quarts or custom mix colors.They have alot of standard colors.I bought the BRG in base/clear for $174.00.This includes the reducers and activators.They even send a mask which is only a dust one which is useless,strainers and mixing sticks
So far I have only sprayed all the interior parts such as door jambs.cowl and hood.I will say this it is a very good product.easy to spray and flows out well with a very good gloss finish.The only problem was they do not ship out of the USA.Fortunately I'm registerd at the Pembina ND parcel service which is only 2 hours from home.My daughter in law picked it up for me and there was no problem bringing it across the border

I've bought from them too. Decent product and the price is right. They are actually in New Jersey.

But I have also bought tractor paint from ~Tractor Supply~ (along with their hardener, which is a *must* for decent results).

This is a decent product similar to the Trinity paint (it's "Valspar".....not sure it they sell under that name in Canada). You can buy quarts and self-mix to get your own colours (that's what I've done).

We have Valspar here as well.Are you saying you have use it for car paint.Also are yous aying the tractor paint is also a good enough paint for cars

I know some have used the industrial enamels adding driers and enamel reducers.

I once used the valspar spar varnish with enamel reducers to spray my sons walnut strip canoe.4 coats in 4 hours with a temepature of 90

Yes....the Valspar tractor paint is about as good as the Trinity paint.

It's only single-stage so I'm not talking about for show cars, but it seems fine for race cars.
The hardener they sell along with it really makes it hard and tough.

Well I painted the car.I had done the jambs and whatnot with my detail gun using air previously.They turned out nice
I sprayed the car with the base coat using my HVLP.The base coat turned out very nice. I had reduced it a little more that what was recommended.I sprayed the clear with my HVLP.Not bad but I would definitely go back to air with this product.I would say that although the clear is pretty good I think it needs more atomization that air would give.I definitley would even go to 45 pounds at the nozzel

I will be sanding and polishing anyway so I think it will be fine.Just need to curtail my impatience and let it get real hard first,
Will let you know how it turnd out in a few weeks
