Paint Touch Up

I have a 1989 black xj6. Some of the paint has faded on the hood, roof, and trunk most likely due to sun exposure. I also have a rust spot or two in front of my left rear bumper. I don't know much about paint, and I was wondering if their was a cheaper alternative than having my entire car re-painted. Specifically, something I can do myself.
Thanks

You can always try claybar on the faded paint, it can never hurt. As far as the rust that is a common area and is a probable sign of more corrosion underneath. Make sure it has not spread to the fuel tanks and treat with POR 15. Hope for the best and expect the worst.

You probably need a good rub out and polish before thinking of paint. If it doens't buff out after the claybar treatment. paint only.

It sounds like the clay bar should work on most of my car, but I am not sure about the hood. It has some larger fading streaks where the paint has faded from black to a mate black. I suppose the only way to fix that would be to have a professional take care of it.

Right, that's a no to the clay bar, but I did find a website that sells spray cans of the right paint. Can anyone vouch for it, or a similar website, or spray on paint? I just don't know the paint code for my car. Does anyone know where I can find it. I've got a black 1989 xj6.
Here's the website selling the paint:https://www.paintscratch.com/
