my bj8 body is at the painter. He asks if he should paint the frame and the inner body panels glossy or matt.
What is the correct answer?

Gerd

Same type paint as used on the exterior body panels.

Glossy, however,I think sometimes if you are going basecoat clearcoat with the exterior, the painter will shoot the inside, frame etc. in a single stage (no clearcoat). Don't know if that is just because easier or other reasons too?

My painter used a single stage gloss finish paint for the superstructure as it has more solids in it so goes on a bit thicker without runs and also saves labor as it doesnt need clearcoat .
exterior was done with base and clear with wetsanding etc .
