Putitng on the big parts on my engine for my '59 BE. Engine is green. Questions should:

--the water pump be the same color as the engine? I sort of like the look of the steel color, but no problem painting it green.

--the pulley/shroud that covers the water pulley pump that the fan is attachedm also green?

--the fan blades, I have two metal blades that overlap and are screwed onto the pump..what color should they be?

Thanks..

A 1275 was never a factory option for a bugeye, so feel free to make it as you want it.

Heh, you bad Trevor.

Fan blades and pully should be traffic yellow. All else green but for alum or brass which I just refuse to paint.

Seriously, I'd go with the plastic blades for better cooling.

I have a 1275 BE with a plastic fan and the waterpump is not painted.

Rustoleum "Sunburst Yellow" is a near perfect match to the original on a Bugeye.

I used John Deere Yellow on the fan & pulley on my 1098 topped with clear to make them shiny but not too shiny.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I'm actually looking for a spray paint that comes out paisley!!!

Haven't see the paisley cans on the shelf, how about a sky-blue pink?

my late (Colour Blind) Father in Law's favourite colour "Sky Blue Pink with a Finny Addy border" thanks for the memory
