Paint and seats cleaning up nicely on the '63

A lot of elbow grease and quite a shine she still has. Too bad the rockers and doglegs were shot or I'd really be in good shape.

Paint was stained and needed a lot of attention to get the color back.

Seats are tattered but not that bad for their age. I'm trying some leather softener on them and they are getting softer.

Did you cut it with 3,000 grit paper before waxing & buffing?

Carefully wet sanded with 2000. Buffed with compound and then used a three part Mothers system. It worked really well and took out some decent scratches too. It was really the only way to get rid of the stain the car had from not being washed for the past 20 years. Luckily the re-spray with thick enough that I did not burn through. The color is lighter than it should be and it seems the Iris Blue has a tinge more green to it that the powder blue that it is currently painted.

Way to go, sounds like you're doing it right & will have a nice 'survivor'!
