I sent Kai all the valves, springs, etc. to build another head for me over 6 months ago. Initially he told me it would take about 2 months to complete the head. I've traded a couple of emails with him and talked with him on the phone about 45 days ago, but now he seems to have just disappeared. I tried to leave a message, but the voice mail is full.

Kai are you out there...

Tab, hang in there. Someone here knows him well, I just can't remember who it is. I'm sure they'll contact him when they see this. Let's keep it up in front to be a reminder.

yes he is there, got an email from him yesterday, he is about ready with all the components on my TR6 engine to start assembly, he did make a comment that he kind of took on a little too much this year( actually engines just showed up with out notice) but I know he is very particular and trust no one and measures everything to make sure its right when blocks and cranks etc come back.

Wow and it's still not done?? That's a long time to wait.

yes paul still waiting he is suppose to finally start assembly on monday but in his defense, he sent the crankshaft off to a company to have it lightened and they took 12 weeks instead of 4 like they told him, the crank shaft balancer didnt do as good as he wanted so off it went to another shop the nitrider took longer than promised. Seems to me that no one delivers anything on time anymore. unless you live near by and can go in and check on them every week, he also rebuilt my transmission and OD unit, some of the rebuild parts came from England and that took longer than he had planned, but Kai is very knowledgeable when I talk to him on the phone I feel that he is very particular about his work. But this time of year I am into the lake and boating

Hondo

Hondo, I understand. I'm getting interested in golf again at the worst possible time. I have TWO cars to play with. The one good thing about that is it will only take a few really bad rounds to send me back to the garage again.

Hondo, if you speak with Kai, please tell him to contact the guy in Dallas that he's supposed to be building a cylinder head for.

I really...really want to finish this car and the only thing keeping me this is the lack of a decent cylinder head. At the very least, I would like for him to return the valves, springs and keepers I sent him.

Thanks!
