P47 pilot day job!

Very cool vid.... the P-47 was a great multi role aircraft and could take as good as it gave....one note. You see the US Flag flying at half mast in one picture/scene..... President Roosevelt had passed.

This is rare stuff to see - WWII film footage in color. I know I've seen occasional short clips of color footage, but had never seen this before.

I was impressed by his attitude.
 
A friend, who is no longer with us, was in a P47 outfit in Africa. He didn't talk much about it, when asked, he would say,"that was a long time ago" and change the conversation. It affected him that much. All's well Richard!
