Overider Restoration - need advice

I got a deal on a set of overiders for my 74 TR6. The front pair are great but the rear need some work. No gouges but minor scrapes and scratches. Looks like someone may have painted them.
Has anyone been able to bring these back to a decent appearance?

I hate to say it, but I couldn't get my rear overriders off fast enough... I do see them on eBay from time to time....
