Do any of you guys have a pic of how the solenoid wire is run ? Is it run inside fire wall or outside to get to frame rail ? thanks ! :hammer:

Good question, when I got my car in 1981' the OD did not work. No wire going to solenoid. I installed a new wire and OD worked fine. But I had no idea of correct routing, so just ran it straight down from OD relay to the solenoid. I added an in line fuse later on.

:iagree:
Sounds like a winner to me too.--Keoke-

My 64 BJ8 has the switch wire run along the outside of left foot well attached with a "P" clip to the upper rear "asbestos" heat shield attachment screw then diagonally on the inside of the tranny tunnel to another "P" clip attached to the frame just opposite the solenoid switch then to the solenoid. Hope this helps and have a good day!

outside the firewall directly down to the solenoid inside the tunnel cover.
