...and thru th' Okefenokee, to a relative's house we went...


Planned the trip; got th' 'gator report and off we went. Diesela did a 301-mile round trip without a whimper. She did leave some small drippage onna relative's driveway. Oops.

T'was good to see the clan and attend the fĂŞte. Makes for a looong day tho. Six hours in th' saddle with a six hour break inna middle to pig out, watch dead pig tossin' on the tube, natter and generally socialise... Made it back to th' hovel at 2230, worn to the nubs. Herself made up a derivation of Kenny's corn cake recipe and it was devoured to the last kernel and crumb. Looks like it has become an overnight T-Day tradition. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

...I'm *still* feelin' like I just ate a horse.
 
Stayed home & had about 15 over fer fuel. House is still clean & da fridgadaire is fulla lefties.
 
*buurrrrrpp* "skoozee" ahhh. mornin after, an it was good.. Went next door to the in-laws, had a feast. all the traditional stuff. Today I'm using a vacation day to "extend" the weekend, and we're off the the parade in a minute.
Then tomorrow it's over to my parents for ANOTHER dinner. Our church does a dinner givaway on turkey day, so they weren't home. they have been busy all week. and my bro and his bride coulden't make it till saturday, so we're having it tomorrow.... (I think today I'm gonna eat light.)
 
Spent y'day afternoon gourging myself at a friend's house - eating light today because entire family converges on daughter's house tomorrow for full T'giving meal - about 30 of 'em, all her aunts, uncles, cousins...6-month old Will's introduction to his clan! Poor lad, those ladies won't put him down the entire time they're there, I just know it!

Went to my brother's for dinner. I am working on the spit on his property so got to spend some quality time looking for missing pieces.

My sister-in-law got the dressing right for the 1st time in years. I had 5 helpings. Also had 4 helpings of tatters, 2 drumsticks,several pieces of cheese and 2 pieces of pumpkin pie. I wonder if my heart doctor would approve?? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
