Outside door handle opens but not inside

I took apart the inside handle mechanism and and oiled it well and it started working again, but it still won't fully open the door. If I reach outside I can open the door with a small catch in it. I'm thinking that I need to adjust the strike plate so that it has a little more room for the latch mechanism to work. Any thoughts on this? This is a 60 3000mk1 BN7.

Hi John
Normally is sufficient a little bent of the command bar DSC4918a.jpgIMGP1970a.jpg
Cheers

Thanks for the input. Yes I did a bend too and it helped, but still not enough. Took the striker plate off and of course no shims. Made of small modification to the post and now it works.
