Outer Sills [ Rocker Panels ]

I have my BT7 striped down to the point that the outer sills are about the only thing left on the chasis. The sills are in pretty good shape except for the rear section which is adjacent to the front of the rear fender, a major point of body rot on Healeys. I noticed that Healey Surgeons has a part called an outer sill extention. It seems like that by using this instead of replacing the whole sill I could save a lot of effort (although, at this point, that may be moot) by not having to cut out the spot welds and weld in a whole new sill. Also this would eliminate alignment and gap problems.

Re: Outter Sills[Rocker Panels]

Richard when I was at that point on my BT7 my sills looked exactly as you describe yours. I decided to replace both the inner and outer sills. After I removed them and installed the new ones I cut the old ones in half and found extensive rust inside the sills even though they looked good on the outside. I could poke holes in them with a screwdriver in places that looked good on the outside. Before I welded the sills in I hung the doors and set the sill gaps to them that way. Skip
