Other than the obvious... what is significance?

This was glued to my engine block (front top corner on drivers side - remember 1500) It says "guarantee void if removed." Other than the obvious warning, has anyone else got one? Could it signify a rebuild or repair? A friend who looked at the car had never seen one and I haven't noticed them either. Any thoughts?

JP

Yep, somebody has rebuilt it sometime in its history...that's the type thing they put on crate engines.

About the only thing I would think you could tell was that was not the orginal engine. No telling when, however with the engine number you might tell when the engine was built.

The engine was rebuilt at one time and that is the rebuilder's warranty stamp.

Salvage yards use those also. First thing they look for when someone complains a motor is junk. That center will discolor if the engine is overheated. That voids the warentee.

ANNNDDDD........matresses and upholstered chairs.

But there it's jail time if you remove the tag/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nonono.gif

That's your engine ID number.

Stamped above the number 4 spark plug?
