This might be a little esoteric but does any one know of a source for the original style fine thread bolts that seem to have been used on most LBCs of the 50's and 60s?
They had a very distinctive head pattern that is quite different than the common Grade 5 bolts that are available in the local Harware stores or Home Depot type outlets in the U.S.. I've searched around on the internet but haven't found anyplace that has them.
The original style bolt heads had the Letters "GKN" on the head and a "S" with a round circular depression in the middle of the head along with the three lines indicating that it is a Grade 5 hardness bolt. The "GKN", I believe, refers to the hardware manufacturer in the UK and stands for "Guest, Keen and Nettlefolds".
The American style bolts simply have a "J" and the three Grade 5 hardness lines.
