Original or Custom

I have a 1984 Mini Mayfair sat on my drive rusting, I am about to embark on a program to get it back on the road, the question is Do I try to get it all original or do I customise it?
By customise I mean de-seam, front disks, 1275 engine etc, not reshape the body cut the roof.

The Mini Mayfair was not that rare or unusual, being one of many "special editions" put out by BL to try and stir up interest in their brands. I would suggest going for a custom job, what you have in mind sounds tasteful, and is in keeping with period modifications anyway. Best of luck.

Well, since you're obviously in England,Minis and parts are plentiful over there,so why not do it up? The Mayfair is nothing real special anyways,so folloe your hearts desire and do what you want.

If it was a rare model,I would say leave it stock, but it's just a Mayfair.Go nuts!
