I need some help!! I am attempting to install a Mr. Dan Masters wire harness into my broke down 69TR. Slow going since I have no auto electrical experience and have not yet identified all the components of the auto.
I think I cut something I should not have cut. Need advice.
I removed everything from the auto rear trunk compartment as the wiring instructions call for. Today, I was attempting to install new wires in the tail of the car and was removing all the dead wires back there. I cut a black, 1/4" diameter "wire" that turned out to be a hollow plastic tube of some sort.
The tube comes into the rear at the upper left side of the gas tank, sweeps downward, threads thru the rear bodywork shell behind the license plate, sweeps back up and disappears behind the upper right side of the gas tank. It does not seem to connect to anything in the trunk area. It is supported by white plastic clips that look very old.
The tube has no oder, contains no liquid but I cannot blow air thru it. I left it alone cut in half in case I need to splice it back together.
Can anyone please identify the plastic tube I cut?? If so, what shall I do with it?
thank you very much,
