I have been given a 73 MGB GT and my daughter is restoring a 73 MG Migit. How do I get the bonnet open on the GT if the cable is rusted and won't move.

The latch is located behind the MG mediallian in your grill look in with flashlight and see the lever and try to "flip" with a long screwdriver, it may help to have someone push lightly down on the hood to remove pressure on the latch

Got it. The first time I did not have a light. I put a temp wire through the grill untill I can get the car home and dismantel the cable.

Thanks

A lot of B owners, like me, add a permenant alternate hood release cable by running picture hanging wire thru the LS light wiring grommet and into the fender well.

Yea, I have a temporary wire through my grill too...it was there when I bought the car 3 years ago and I removed it once, but hooked it back up a few days later, because it is so darn convenient /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif
