That had to be one heck of a scary ride. Glad to see he was able to walk away from it. That's certainly a testament to the build quality of the safety cage.
 
That is a very scary crash, violent centrifugal forces. I am glad the seat belts did their job!
It shows how difficult it is to predict where and how a crash may occur_ just looking at the course you would not guess that would be a problem area, in fact you might choose to take photographs from there if it was allowed.
