This looks awfully nice. He's asking $8k. Seems pretty reasonable to me.

If that's as clean as it looks, it's a nice little car.

Great car, wrong air cleaners(?) and that accelerator cable isn't long for this world, that ought to knock it down to $7990 What the h#K%L is wrong with his wife? (mine doesn't like my Midget much either). Sigh......

My longtime racing buddy, who has raced these little cars for 30 years, but never owned one as street car, bought 1962 off Ebay last week from Arizona, nowhere near as nice as this car, but a very oriignal 50k mile driver with tons of records bought from a guy who took great care of the car, he got it for $3200 which is what I thought was steal, now looking at this car that looks to be very well restored, that seems like a fair price for a very nice car, I dig the valve cover.

Looks to me like a an appearance restoration. Doesn't look the engine compartment was done or that the interior was removed completely and there are plenty of rusty bolts that they didn't clean up. That car would make a great driver, seems like a lot of money to me for not being in show condition. You could probably buy a bugeye in similar condition for that price.

I say keep the car and get a new wife!!

Here's a pic of the one my buddy Fred just bought for $3200.

I heard tell it was an e-bay auction winner too. Russ says he took delivery on Monday. I watched the bidding with my fingers crossed for Fred. The pics from the auction looked SUPER.
I think it was a rust "free" Arizona/New Mexico car.
I can't wait to see it in person.

I bet Fred is grinning from ear to ear.

That's amazing (to me). I have a '65 MK III exactly that color which is a stock color but I have never ever seen another one like it. However, that's a Mk I Midget (=Mk II Sprite) so it's not even the same year. I love that color on the car (it makes girls swoon) but it seems to be very rare.

It's Riviera Blue, only available on 1963 to 1967 models I believe.

My 65 MK III was originally Rivera Blue, but the previous owner back in 1973 thought it was a little girly so he rattle canned it a dark indigo blue, more manly for the time. I still have the original interior which is in pretty nice condition. I agree Rivera Blue is a pretty cool looking color today.

Little Blue is now Miata -Big Island Metalic Blue

according to the guy he bought it form, that is Ice Blue. I got to see it in person yesterday, it's a driver. , far from a perfect car, but solid, no rust, a few dings and paint buggers, but overall a great little car. He wants to enjoy the car just as it is now, it cranks up and purrs like a kitten. So we're just waiting for some decent weather.

My '63 was originally Ice Blue (I think). A light blue anyway.
Here's some of the engine bay peeking from under the black.

Cool - from the picture, it seems like you've bought interesting seats also.
