oo oo oo ... I need a V8!

very pretty, but I like Tony's boxer intake setup better.

That's gonna be a tight squeeze. Better get a big shoe horn. And a sawzall to cut out your hood for those velocity stacks. It would look good, but the tires you burn off are going to cost a fortune!

THIS is a tight fit. Car is a '59 MGA V8, built by John Mangles, friend of ours and my 'body & paint man.' Exquisite car.

I like mine better also, Kenny!

John Mangles is a great guy-I saw his V* MGA at the Kansas City British Car show! Holy cow!

Holy cow pretty much sums up his A, doesn't it? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

John's the best. I wouldn't let anyone else touch Binabox or Emma. Now if we could just get those other 2 cars out of the way and mine in the shop!

What type of engine/tranny setup does he have in that MGA?? Looks real sweet!

I 'think' it's a Volvo V8, not sure about anything else. It's a real sweet car.

It looks like one of the BOP/Rover 215 aluminum V8s that are the most often used engines for a swap of this kind because of their low weight. Check out https://www.britishv8.org for more info on this engine and for many more examples of British cars converted to V8 power. This is the same engine that was posted at the start of this thread.
