Yeah, sometimes it's hard to decipher lyrics while listening.

Here's one of Joe Cocker with the lyrics decrypted...

Nice to finally get the lyrics to Louie Louie. Who would of guessed! For those of us the right age, this will forever be in our memory banks.
I read earlier this year the guy who sang Louie Louie died. He opted to take $5,000.00 for singing that song, then left the band and joined the army. He regretted taking the $5,000.00 the rest of his life, for missing out on almost 50 years of royalties, (5 thou prob seemed like a million to some kid in 1963).

About Joe Cocker, again for those of us of the right age group: FUNNY!!! FUNNY!!! FUNNY!!!

Thanks for posting that! I was trying to find it, but the version I found on YouTube said it had been removed for "copyright" reasons.

So.. that's what Joe said......ow !!!! there you go, mystery solved.

Basil- As it is basically our state song. The words are taught in kindergarten

"I did some Wonder Loaf!" :jester:

Probably find the words to any song by googling lyrics, song title.

This from wiki, apparently nobody knows. I foud where they interveiwed whats-his-face and he said they were close to what's above. Instead od "we" it's me. I don't think it matters as it probably lived so long as it's the perfect collge bar song to sing while you're drunk.......nobody knows if you screwwed up or not.

"In February, 1964, an outraged parent wrote to Robert Kennedy, then the attorney general of the United States alleging that the lyrics of "Louie Louie" were obscene. The Federal Bureau of Investigation investigated the complaint. In June, 1965, the FBI laboratory obtained a copy of the recording and, after two years of investigation, concluded that the recording could not be interpreted, that it was "unintelligible at any speed," and therefore the Bureau could not find that the recording was obscene. In September, 1965, an FBI agent interviewed one member of the Kingsmen. He denied that there was any obscenity in the song.[citation needed]

The lyrics controversy resurfaced briefly in 2005 when the supenintendent of the school system in Benton Harbor, Michigan refused to let the marching band at one of the schools play the song in a parade. She later relented.[8][9]"
