Steve,

So you're one of the 10 people that's never seen
the "Blues Brothers"?I find it hard to believe.Watch it,
you'll have a hard time not watching it all the way through.
Of course this comes from one of the 10 people who
paid to watch "Heaven's Gate" in the theatre!

The Blues Brothers was my first exposure to R&B music, actually. From the moment I saw the film, I was addicted and my love for the genre continues to that day. Growing up in sheltered Vermont where the mountains limited radio (and television) reception, I would never have been exposed to it so early but for that film.

Elwood: Okay. We gotta figure out something these people like and fast.
Murph: Hey I got it. Remember the theme from Rawhide?
Elwood: The old favourite. Rowdy Yates.

Are ya familiar with "Little Tommy Rush, from New Hampshire" Bill? Not R&B but a vine singer/songwriter and kinda "local" to ya.

Hi Doc -- I am indeed familiar with Tom Rush. That man's voice is as smooth as velvet dipped in single malt scotch. I hear he's got a new album -- first one in a looooong time.

Heard as well. I'll likely need to dig for it tho.

First heard him back inna early '70's. Instant fan.
