I'll accept the noise, at least until we get the AI warez to remove it cleanly.
 
He came up empty on that go, but another bird had a fish so far away I couldn't get the shot. Maybe another time. Those were all with the 80~400mm at about 300mm setting. ISO at 1K to get shutter speed. Hand-held.
 
Somewhere I have a shot of an Osprey on top of a street lamp eating a needle fish. I’ll see if I can locate. It was from San Diego
 
Osprey here sit on streetlamps and dump HUGE loads of excrement on passing car windshields! o_O
 
I find the 80~200 ∱2.8 is the sharper of the two.
