Weird, judging from the length I suppose it must have been be part of a dragracer type car body or something?

Dang... that's LONG. I vote "alien crash-landing site."

The statement about being able to be cut shorter and 48" wide could lend it to several applications. I would say it's a 'newer' design ('80s?) with the air dam front. Maybe someone will come along that's familier with it.

Could be alien indeed. The 348 extension is in the Iva, SC area. South of Anderson, SC and across the river from Elberton, GA. Just a ways off I-85. Looks like something from the Minicup cars that are popular on the small asphalt ovals. The Allison brothers from down Rut's way were involved with these for a while. There were a couple of roundy-round shops in my area that did bodies for that kind of application and the local dirt stuff. Maybe it's an orphan from one of these cars?????

How about an alternative bonet for an XK-E?

Looks like the Austin Healey Sprite Bonneville Bonnet

BMC Does it Again

Thanks apbos, what a great video. I love anything Bonneville related, so seeing our beloved LBC's in streamlining on the salt is double good!
