Reading all the posts about Beech 18s on the Cars and Aircraft thread has affected my brain.

Last night I dreamed that I had a Beech 18 and flew it to a show. Never mind that I'm not a pilot, it was a dream O.K.? The 18 was really clapped-out; I don't know why I was showing it.

I couldn't afford a hotel room, so I slept in a sleeping bag in the cargo compartment (no executive interior in this crate!) but, since it's a taildragger, I kept sliding downhill to the tail!

Almost 10 years ago I met a family at an airshow.
They had a ~Bamboo Bomber~ that they were flying all around the country.
Much of the time, they slept in the plane, sort of like being on a motor-home trip.

Once I was sleeping in a tent under the wing of my friend's Luscombe at Oshkosh. A terrible storm was raging. The couple next to us was sleeping in their 310. In the middle of the thunderstorm, they started the engines! We said to each other, "They're not leaving in the middle of a storm!?"

They shut the engines down after a bit. The next morning, they told us that they had been listening to the radio and the battery was going dead, so they ran the engines to charge it.
