Ole died. So Lena went to the local paper to put a notice in the obituaries. The gentleman at the counter, after offering his condolences, asked Lena what she would like to say about Ole.



Lena replied, 'You yust put Ole died.'



The gentleman, somewhat perplexed, said, 'That's it? Just 'Ole died'? Surely, there must be something more you'd like to say about Ole. If it's money you're concerned about, the first five words are free. We must say something more.'



So Lena pondered for a few minutes and finally said, 'OK. You put, 'Ole died. Boat for sale'.'
 
My Sister and brother in-law live in WI. Great area, simply beautiful "up north". I've always enjoyed the dryish humor.
 
As they were carrying Ole to the cemetary in the procession, one of the pallbearers stumbled & they dropped the casket.....the force of the fall was so great that Ole miraculously came to life again.

Unfortunately, it was only for a short time & once again there was a procession to take his body to the cemetary, this time in the dead of the winter in Minnesota.....as the procession was moving towards the gravesite, those around Lena could hear her gently whispering, "Steady, boys, steady."
