Small irony: I was sent on a TDY to document the last of the Minuteman facilities in the States before its decommissioning. Had a 'fisheye' shot of the missile half-raised that was published in Airman Magazine.

What year was that and where?
 
Likely late 1971 or early '72 IIRC, somewhere in the southern states, I don't recall location. I'll try to find the tear sheet or the orders. I kept some of them.

EDIT: My bad!!! It was a BOMARC decommission, not Minuteman. So sorry!!
