Old Volvo [PV444]

With all this talk of old VW Bugs I can't resist (at least attempting) to post a photo of my recent project.
It is a '58 PV444 Volvo.
This car has the original B16b eng (2 SU H4s - 85hp) combined with a 3spd. trans.
There are quite a few English components on these older Volvos including the brakes (Girling) and indicator lights (Lucas) as well as the carbs.
Surprisingly, these cars were raced with good success in the late 50s.

Cheers!
Dave G.
PS Sorry for something akin to a dual post, not really sure how to get images to display?!

Your image looks great! It brings back memories, as I had a 544 in the early 60s. As many have said about cars they had years ago, Wish I had it now. PJ

Yours looks great! I had a '62 PV544 many years ago. Great little car. Would give a lot to have it back today.

there's one on my water system that's similar to that one with a cover over it.

I never understood how Volvo went from building such nice looking cars, to mass producing bricks. Theyre very safe bricks that run for a long time, but still bricks.
