I have a rebuilt engine for my 76 spitfire that has been sitting for quite a while.
Any thoughts on what i need to do before install and set up,
the harmonic balancer is very hard to turn a complete revolution by hand.
thanks tom

I would put a teaspoon of oil in each cylinder and pull the distributor to run the oil pump with a drill to get oil pressure up or if you have a way to tap into the oil galley with a pressurized oil pump while you slowly rotate the crank shaft for several revolutions. That should get the juices flowing and free it up a bit.
